They often show up in the natural as men who you might mistake for one, such as those who visited Abraham in Genesis eighteen. But in Isaiah six they appear as splendid creatures that defy imagination and strike fear in the heart of Isaiah. It is clear from the biblical record, God uses angels to play a vital role in fulfilling His will for mankind. Having a biblical understanding of angels helps us to better understand one of the ways God has chosen to interact and exercise His rule and reign over His universe. He is big and wise enough to do it all Himself, but instead, He has decided to create and involve other created beings to perform His will.
